Fire Station #33 Prairieville Fire Department

  • PRAIRIEVILLE, LOUISIANA
  • 7,000 SF
  • FIRE STATION

CHALLENGE

In 2013, Domain Architecture was awarded the contract for the new $1.4 million Fire Station #33 to be located in the Duplessis area of Prairieville. This new 7,000 SF facility will set the aesthetic standard for future branch stations for Fire District 3, as it will be used as a prototype for these upcoming facilities.

SOLUTION

Using similar colors and materials, and brick and block construction, the firm was able to create a new look for these branch stations while tying back into the main station that was built five years previous.

This typical station includes living quarters for the firemen, office spaces for a new district chief, necessary storage and support spaces, and a double-deep, two door bay area capable of housing up to four trucks or ladder trucks.
