Donaldsonville Fire Station

  • Donaldsonville, LA

  • Fire Station + Training Center

Domain Architecture was awarded this project in the summer of 2013. At the time, the Donaldsonville Fire Department only had 65 percent of the funding needed to construct their new fire station. Serving as the main entrance to Donaldsonville, this station is sited prominently along Highway 3089 referencing the traditional Pride Fire Station from the past. Domain Architecture worked closely with the Fire Department to develop a preliminary design concept that could be used to raise the remaining funds needed.

We also provided a preliminary budget for the department to determine the funds needed so we could assist with grant writing and capital campaigns. In addition to the traditional living quarters, this building houses the fire chief and support staff as well, as a 40-person training room. The project was completed in 2019.
